Diplomas were presented on Wednesday 14 March to the 25 students who passed the Management of an Agricultural Company in the Cooperative World course, organised by the ActelGrup cooperative and the University of Lleida.

The presentation ceremony, held in the Assembly Hall of the Law and Economics Faculty, was attended by the Director and Sub-director of the University of Lleida Continuous Training Centre, Carles Florensa and José Alonso, respectively, and the Chair and General Director of ActelGrup, Josep Maria Codina and Fernando Chocarro, as well as the students who took part in the course and partners in the ActelGrup cooperatives of Albesa, Rosselló, Almacelles, Linyola, Corbins, Altorricón, Alcampell, Albelda, Torrelameu, Gimenells, Alcoletge, Gimenells and Miralcamp.

The training was given by teachers from the universities of Lleida and Navarre with the participation of expert researchers from the IRTA. The training programme was divided into three modules, agronomical, economic and social, to provide 360° theoretical and practical training.

The innovative feature of the course lies in the giving of training governed by a professional and practical focus and in the participation of university teachers together with professionals from the agro-food sector.

Registration in this first edition was aimed at young ActelGrup partners as an action for generation relief, a key factor framed within the cooperative’s 2017-2019 strategic plan.

The assessment of the training was very positive by both organising bodies, which are already preparing the future editions.
