The second-degree cooperative company ActelGrup allocates more than 2 million euros to complement the liquidations of its partners, doubling the amount of the previous year.
The Palau de Congressos-La Llotja de Lleida hosted the Ordinary General Assembly of ActelGrup with the aim of presenting and approving the economic balance for the financial year 2017/2018.
The cooperative company presented to the General Assembly a turnover of 191 million euros and a result of the 292,000 euros after tax .This decrease in the result is a direct consequence of the fact that the Governing Board of ActelGrup decided to return as much as possible of the operating surplus of the group, to the members and to the associates, which this year has materialized in almost 1 million euros more than in 2016/2017.
Specifically, 2,192,684 euros have been paid, in concepts of rappels and supplements to the liquidation of cereals, fruit and supplies instead of accounting for the benefit in the accounts of the company.
The objective of this decision is a clear commitment to help partners to receive the best economic results and as soon as possible.
The company continues to work on the actions included in its 2017-2019, Strategic Plan, with a clear focus on achieving the best result of its business; fruit, cereals, supplies, insurance and oil, to be able to give an economic added value to the liquidations of the partners of the corresponding exercise.
Financial ratios. Halve the debt and financial expense of the group
The balance sheet of the company and its assets and indebtedness situation has improved substantially. In the last two years, both the financial debt and expenses have been reduced by almost 50% from 34 to 17 milion and from 1 to 0.5 milion euros. These reduction were caused by reduction of investments, the improvement in the collection of customers and the efficient management of stocks.
New incorporation of a cooperative from Extremadura to the ActelGrup project
Since last July ActelGrup has a new fruit cooperative;Alonso de Mendoza, It is a group of crop producers from Badajoz who have seen in Actel's cooperative project an opportunity to improve the profitability of their farms. The cooperative Alonso de Mendoza joins the group thanks to the relationship of trust established over six years. During those six year a commercial relationship that has materialized in an increase in the volume of fruit production for ActelGrup.
Training for junior associates ActelGrup's
The president of ActelGrup, Josep Maria Codina, and the rector of the University of Lleida, Roberto Fernández, signed a four year collaboration agreement to carry out training activities for members. The first training action was a university specialization course in the management of an agricultural company in the cooperative world. In the first edition, 25 young people participated from the cooperatives of Albelda, Albesa, Alcampell, Almacelles, Altorricón, Corbins, Gimenells, Linyola, Miralcamp, Rosselló and Torrelameu.
